Why is the site called Zarpie?
Zarpie is a word from the Urban Dictionary. It means cool, awesome & wicked all at the same time. That's exactly what Zarpie.com is, so it's a perfect name for the site.

How much does it cost to use this site?
Zarpie (pronounced zar-pee) is a free site. You can share images and video files either from the site or upload your own to your free membership profile. You can also upload unlimited mp3 files in your 'My Audio' section and play music from your play list in our mp3 media player.

Do I need a membership to use the site?
At Zarpie.com you need a free membership to dig further into the site. For example with a free membership you can upload and save your own files, which can be used here or linked to in other sites like eBay or Myspace for free. You can share files with others and communicate with other members through your own private inbox, through chat, or instant messenger. You can even leave comments on other member's uploads and more. It's an exciting site to be a part of.

Why are so many people the same age?
You may perform a search and notice everybody in the list is the same age, or within a couple years of each other. This happens when users register and do not complete (skip) their profile information section, causing the database at Zarpie to insert a default value range until the member updates their information.

How can we advertise on this site?
That's easy, just contact us by emailing help @ zarpie.com - We can place your ad code on certain pages.

Can I access Zarpie from a public computer, like at a library or school?
In most cases, yes you can. If you do remember to log out when you're done. Just closing the Web browser doesn't always log you out on a site with our type of software.

How can a video become a featured video?
You can choose to watch any video and just below the video player you'll see a selection of buttons which let you share it with others, add it to your favorites, etc. Featured videos are chosen by media reviewers at Zarpie.

How do I join the Zarpie sharing site?
That's easy, just click the Join Now! link on the top right of the page.

I see content on Zarpie that I feel should not be on the site, what do I do?
If you see content that is intellectual property (trademark / copyright) contact us directly to request removal. If you are offended by content that you feel is inappropriate for public viewing (pornography, violence, racial, etc.) please contact us through the contact link and report the link in question (paste it in). After we review it we reserve the right to remove it if we feel the content violates our terms & conditions in any way. We encourage all users of the Zarpie site to let us know when you see inappropriate content.

How do I link to content on Zarpie.com if I want it to display on another Website?
We've made it real easy. You can direct link or hot link to any content on Zarpie.com.
Direct Link: Make the Zarpie content appear on another Website like eBay or MySpace
Hot Link: Place a link in an email or on a Web page so a user can click it and view the content here.

How it works: Visit the page the content is on. Just below the video or image you'll see some text boxes that are pre-filled with information. If you want to Direct Link to the content just use your left mouse button to click inside the first text box. This will highlight the code. Now use your right mouse button and a drop down menu will appear. Scroll down this menu to the word "Copy" and use the left mouse button to click the word "Copy". Now you've saved the link in your computer's memory and you can paste it in your document / Web page. To paste it in go to your Web page and right click again where you want to place this code you copied earlier. Now scroll down the drop down menu that appears again and use your left mouse button to click "Paste" and you're done. If you want to hot link to a page do the same as we described above but click & highlight the bottom text box instead.

TROUBLESHOOTING / SITE PROBLEMS

I forgot my password, what can I do to reset it?
If you can't remember your password simply go to the login page and click the Forgot Password link.

The site will not let me login, why not?
If you are positive you entered your user name & password correctly but you still cannot login you may not have cookies enabled in your Web browser. If that's the case enable them and try logging in again. If you still cannot login contact us for assistance at help @ zarpie.com

I uploaded content but I don't want everyone to see it, can I make it private or delete it?
Yes you can. Try to select the "private" option just before you upload the file first and it's automatic. If you didn't mean to make it public (you already uploaded the content) you can go to your content page and edit it, or delete it completely.

How do I change my profile information or my password?
When you are logged in, on the far right of the page click "Settings" or "Account" to change account settings. To change your user name please contact us by emailing the 'admin' (find the profile named 'admin' and send a message).

I deleted one of my files on accident. How do I un-delete it?
Unfortunately items deleted are gone for good and cannot be retrieved. You had to upload it to get it there so you can hopefully upload it again. We have no way of seeing or retrieving deleted content.

Zarpie staff deleted my image (or video). Why?
We only delete content that violates our "Terms & Conditions". If any of your content was in violation of these conditions we reserve the right to delete it with or without notice.

I want to delete my account, how is this done?
You can do that in your Account if you want to delete your profile.

I'm trying to change my password in my profile but I get an error message.
If you're getting a message saying you can't do it that way you entered invalid characters.
